Excel as the interface

Excel-native financial consolidation software.

Konsolidat is Excel-native financial consolidation software: statutory close (intercompany elimination, NCI, CTA, FX) runs in ClickHouse + dbt; every number lands in the workbooks finance already uses through =EPM(). Excel is the interface, not the engine. MIT open source — not a closed cube behind an add-in.

Three ways “Excel-native” is used

Only one of them is a close engine.

01

Export to Excel

OneStream, Tagetik, Anaplan: the model lives in their UI; analysts dump to xlsx. Native? No. Familiar? Yes.

02

Closed spreadsheet cube

Vena, Cube: stay in Excel/Sheets on a vendor cube. Strong FP&A. Weak statutory IC/NCI/CTA. Closed source.

03

Konsolidat

Open engine for the close; =EPM() retrieve in Excel (VBA) and =K.EPM* on Excel Online. You keep the workbook. We keep the ownership tree out of cells.

FAQ

Excel-native consolidation — questions.

Is there Excel-native financial consolidation software?

Yes. Konsolidat runs IFRS/GAAP group close in ClickHouse + dbt and delivers figures through =EPM(). Excel is the interface, not the calculation engine.

How is this different from Vena or Cube?

Those are spreadsheet-native FP&A on a closed cube. Konsolidat is open-source statutory consolidation with Excel as the reporting surface.

How is this different from OneStream or Anaplan in Excel?

They typically end in Excel via export or add-in. Konsolidat never asks finance to leave Excel for a modelling language. Functions: EPM software with Excel =EPM formulas.
